It's December 2nd, and do you know what that means in our home?
It's time for Christmas School! (Which is truly very exciting for this Momma because it really means less planning, more fun stuff, and more reasons to do what I need to do and call it school!) It's also time for us to slow down and focus on my favorite time of year.
thought maybe with the slower pace that it was time to get my ducks in a row and get back to work on this blog, and it seems that maybe the best way to do this was to go ahead and work backwards.
So I think the theme of December is going to be--The Fall in Review, lol! Time for me to look back on all of the wonderful pictures that I took of the wonderful activities that we did that I did not wonderfully blog about!
These pictures are from way back in September. We were waiting on friends to spend the morning at a local water park. Public school had started back up, but the water park was still open select hours (probably mostly for preschoolers, but oh well!) Since we had a little time to kill, we decided to put together our first country lapbook. I believe we were working on China here.
Don't the kids look thrilled to be told they are going to a water park and then have to do their work in the car while they wait?
BUT--we got to review our China week as we put our books together, practice presentations that were made to Daddy and Turtle at dinner that night, AND slow down the "are-they-here-yet?" questions.
Sometimes, I really love the flexibility of homeschooling!
(All right--pretty much all the time!)
