We are fully enjoying our summer break, although I am toying with the idea of trying some year-round schooling later this summer. We seem to do better when we are at home when we have some structure. (I mean, I do better with some kind of structure. I know that surprises absolutely no one.)
But, in the meantime, here are just a few of the fun things we are finding to fill up our days...
Daddy had a class to take in Hilton Head, South Carolina, so we all tagged along and managed to get some pool time in, even though there was a tropical storm heading our way and lots and lots of rain.
(Notice Daddy working hard in his class, haha!)
A little bit of putt-putt in the rain. Which I won, by the way. Unless you count Bug's score, which was the highest of all, so, clearly, HE was the winner. And, no, no matter what the picture looks like, Turtle is not yet officially taller than me.
At least, as of this morning.
So then we have had some playdates recently.
Most all of them have been pool-related.
And then, yesterday, we were invited to the lake with friends. Turtle skipped out because she is, like her Momma, a pool girl. She is not a big fan of swimming with other living creatures, our Turtle. Especially when she can see them coming at her.
But the others had a blast with friends, boats, tubes, and even kneeboards!
Here Bug and two of his buddies are checking out Firefly and her friend tubing. I think they are discussing which one of the Avengers is their favorite. Or maybe whose Mom packed the better lunch. You know, important boy stuff like that.
That little head on the left is Firefly. Brave girl just ate it up!!!
We live in Florida, you know. When we go out during the summer, we go to the water. Lots of pool and sprinkler play still coming our way in the next few months...
