So this is exciting--our first Weekly Wrap Up! It's also exciting because it's the beginning of wrapping up our school year--only a few more weeks. ; ) The weather has been so gorgeous here that it's really hard to fight the spring fever and sit down to work, so it's nice to know we are on the home stretch.
We have dwindled down now to some bare essentials. Turtle has been working so so so hard to master her memory work for Classical Conversations, so when she "officially" made Memory Master last week, we celebrated with a low work week this week (Yay!)
Monday: A back-to-the-basics day of low-pressure math, reading, some writing and spelling. Bug got to go to a grown-up playdate all by himself, and of course, cried when it was time to come home.
Tuesday: Classical Conversations classes for the last week of the year. The kids had a blast testing their bridges and egg protectors that they have been working on for a month. Turtle's bridge had a winning design, but unfortunately, both girls had the same result with their egg protectors. : (
Wednesday: Thankfully we were only working on the basics today, because we were in the midst of a sensory processing overload meltdown day. (More on this next week, on the first Firefly Friday).
Thursday: A day of carschooling, as we had therapy appointments, doctor appointments, and other miscellaneous errands that we "might as well get done since we're out". Yuck.
Friday: Happy, fun (read: exhausting) Friday. Birthday parties, bouce houses, Disney Princesses and family from out of town.
How was your week? We'd love to hear about it. We're linked up with Kris at Weird, Unsocialized Homeschoolers at http://networkedblogs.com/gqAFw. Happy Weekend, everyone!
